  • Are the cleaning products you use safe for my family and pets?

    Yes. Everything we use is completely safe for your family and pets. Commitment to safety and our environment is extremely important to us. We never use phosphates or solvents that can't be processed, and we always dispose of our wastewater in an environmentally safe manner.

  • Do you offer steam cleaning?

    Yes we do. Truck-mounted hot water extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning is the recommended cleaning process by the leading carpet manufacturers, Shaw Industries® and Mohawk®. We even take it one step further by using soft water for all of our cleanings.

  • Why is soft water better than hard water?

    The School of Consumer & Family Sciences at Purdue University conducted a study, which proved that when clothing and household textiles (such as carpets) were washed in conditioned water, their lives were prolonged up to 15%. Because we feel so strongly about this issue, we have used soft water for all of our cleanings since 2003.

  • How often should I have my carpet cleaned?

    The simple answer is at least once every 12-18 months. Factors like young children, pets, and location of your home will affect how often you should clean your carpet. The major manufacturers Shaw Industries and Mohawk suggest and/or require to keep your warranty active that you have your carpet professionally cleaned with hot water extraction (steam cleaning) at least once every 12-24 months. Check your warranty for more details. If you can't find your warranty, contact us and we will get you more information on your warranty 

  • How long does the carpet take to dry?

    On average, it takes 6-8 hours. Weather can play a role. Here in New England, we know that if you wait a minute, the weather will change. Humidity and the condition of your carpet can also be factors in drying times. We recommend basing your cleaning around your family's schedule if possible. Another option we always recommend is using household fans to speed up the drying process.

  • Can you get the pet odor out of my carpet?

    This can be a complicated issue. By treating each situation individually we have great success with removing pet odors. Some families may be experiencing a few puppy accidents, where others may be facing an animal that has been soiling an area for an extended period of time. We always assess the area and come up with the best plan of action. We offer several options such as commercial grade enzyme products that digest the odor causing bacteria, a full flushing of the area and removal and repair of the area. By treating each situation individually we have a great success with removing pet odors.

  • I work full time. How will I schedule my cleaning(s)?

    No problem! In fact, due to their busy schedules, many of our customers are not home during the cleaning process. Often, our clients hide a key or arrange for a neighbor to let our technician in. Then, after working hard all day, you’ll come home to beautiful, clean, and dry carpets!

  • How long have you been in business and are you insured?

    We have been in business over 19 years and we are insured.

  • Are your technicians trained?

    Yes they are. Here at The Clean Team, we strongly believe in up to date training by IICRC.

  • Can I get a referral from you?
